Carbon sequestration has been proposed as a way to mitigate the impact of CO2 on climate. At COP21, ‘4 per 1000 Soils for Food Security and Climate’ initiative was launched with goal increase global soil organic carbon (SOC) stocks by 4‰ year. The Thyrow long-term field experiment DIV.2 chosen determine feasibility this 4 under dry sandy conditions in Eastern Germany. effects different fertilizing regimes SOC contents winter rye yields were investigated.
